Learning And Applying The Basic
When I first started to learn about online marketing, I was so much in a hurry to learn how to; put together a Blog, build some super cool looking capture pages and hang out on the popular scial media sites like facebook, twitter my space etc...I actually didn't learn much about e-mail marketing and that was a big mistake! I don't want the same thing to happen to you so here are a few great pointers so you understand how the role of e-mail marketing is so most important.
The Game Start When You Are Given The "Go" To Send Email
In a way when prospects opt-in to one of your capture pages or opt-in on one of your blog post, they essentially give you permission to advertise further to them, they are saying yes I would like to know more...but I am not ready to buy. So you can understand that if you do not stay in tough with those prospect thought good content Emails, that person will not continue to keep their door open for very long. They will either unsubscribe from your list, lose interest really fast and they have the right to feel cheated in away.
- Make sure they know why they're getting the Email ( Connect it to the same topic that got them onto your list.)
- Give value in their specific topic of interest.
- Decide what action you want them to take next
- Know what the benefit of that action is for you.
Save Yourself Time And Frustration
I wish you can truly "get" the message I want to give you here! I wanted to save time and go to the more technical tasks like creating my blog and all the other fancy tools that I was introduced I when first started to learn online marketing. Somehow, to me the Email part of the whole equation was secondary, but I want to repeat that this was one of the biggest mistake I made because attraction marketing starts in the relationship you build thought your e-mails.
You will soon understand that when you are getting ready to write your e-mail, think about THEM first...then think about what you are trying to accomplish.
What Action You Want Them to Take?
Do You Want them to Click on a Link and Visit Your Blog?
Do You Want them to Click on a Link and Buy a Resource?
Do You Want them to Email You and/or Call You?
Know What the Benefit of That Action is For You
Are you monetizing to increase cash-flow?
Are you driving traffic to your content to increase exposure?
Are you preparing to prospect and identifying candidates?
Think of Email Marketing As Courtship
When you write your Emails, try to imagine yourself in front of someone, having a cup of coffee or a glass of wine depending on the tone you want your Email to have and write just like you would be sitting right across the table from the person you are trying to reach.
It's All About Positioning Yourself - Be A Guide!
Now I invite you to truly prepare your next e-mail campaign with this in mind: Start Slow, it's a courtship and you are building trust! Don't ask for marriage on the very fist date! On the 3TH or 4TH Email invite your prospect to connect back with you and make sure to ask how you can actually help them with a particular issue. You can let them know that you will cover their questions in your next Blog or your next Hub-page! After the 5TH or 6TH Email you can place 'Offers' in front of them and be more open about it because you gained their trust
